Question  Am I being humped by my Caique?

Emot117

Well. A few days ago Sancha decided that she no longer wished to kill me and would much rather hang out on my shoulder peacefully. Today she got down from her cage, waddled over and asked to step up. I obliged. She then began dragging her face across my shoulder. Then she climbed down to my hand (I was working on the laptop) and she proceeded to hang onto my watch with her beak and scratch my hand with her foot like a chicken.  I'm assuming this is some kind of sexual thing? I bent my hand so that she was just standing on my watch and she decided to stop and go groom herself on my shoulder.

So yeah.  Anyone else?

I'm gonna go with "yes" on this one. She just attacked my head and bit my hand. Guess she got a little too excited..... Emot73

I think there humping is more dragging there butt on you.. I may be mistaken but that is what our tiel did when it would hump anyone... *L* He especially lived the wood perch. Man does that leave it wide open for jokes...

I agree with Troy. Your birds actions may be "foreplay" but it is not "humping". I think your bird is trying to bond with you and & got carried away. You won't have to guess if it is humping. You'll know.
